When Should You Get Tested for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) ?
Recommendation for Covid Testing - you should get tested in any of the following cases:

How Do I Get Tested for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) ?

What kind of TEST is Available for Coronavirus or COVID-19?RT-PCR Test
As per ICMR guidelines, RT-PCR (Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) based test is the recommended testing method followed for COVID-19 Testing.
A NASAL SWAB (Nasopharyngeal) and THROAT SWAB (Oropharyngeal) is collected for testing by taking due safety measures.
This is the Gold standard test for Detection of COVID-19.
Rapid Antigen Test or RATI Test
The Government of Delhi is also providing Rapid Antigen Test facility at centers all over the city.
The list of Rapid Antigen Test Centers are available and updated daily. Additionally, Coronavirus Antibody Testing is also being ramped up in India, which would enable rapid testing using blood samples.

What Documents do I Need to get Tested for Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2)?
As per the government regulations, certain documents are required to be submitted at the time of testing for government records.
1. Doctor’s Prescription - for COVID-19 testing along with the doctor’s registration number. The government has removed the need for prescription in the state of Delhi, Maharashtra.
2. Govt. Photo ID (Aadhaar card/ Voter Id/ Passport) - Proof of current address and contact number of the suspect patient to be provided at the time of sample collection.
These are mandatory requirements defined by Govt. of India without which testing of 2019-novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is not allowed.
When will the Reports available Coronavirus Test ?The Reports generally take 24-72 hours for preparation, due to the current situation.
As a unique proposition, your COVID-19 test reports will be added to your Healthspace account and can be easily accessed using the Healthspace Website or the Healthspace App.
If you do not have a Healthspace account already, one will be created for you and you will receive a notification once your report is uploaded by the lab.
